Responsibilities of a Hospice Aide / CNA

• Report to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager, and follow the guidance of Registered Nurses and Supervisors
• Assist with personal hygiene, environment safety, meal preparation, feeding, ambulation, and light housekeeping
• Support treatments as ordered and promote mental alertness through activities
• Provide emotional support and report changes in patient condition
• Demonstrate infection control and document visits accurately
• Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement activities

Qualifications

• Compassionate, empathetic, and flexible
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
• Six months of relevant patient care experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and CPR certification
