Responsibilities of a Hospice Aide/CNA
- Report to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager, working under the supervision of the RN or Clinical Supervisor
- Assist with personal hygiene, environment safety, meal preparation, feeding, ambulation, and light housekeeping
- Support treatments as ordered and permissible by state regulations
- Promote mental alertness and provide emotional support
- Report changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary team
- Practice infection control and document visits accurately
- Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement activities
Candidate Requirements
- Compassionate, empathetic, and flexible
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
- Minimum six months of patient care experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and insurance, current CPR certification
