Responsibilities of a Hospice Aide/CNA
  • Report to the Administrator, Executive Director, or Patient Care Manager, working under the supervision of the RN or Clinical Supervisor
  • Assist with personal hygiene, environment safety, meal preparation, feeding, ambulation, and light housekeeping
  • Support treatments as ordered and permissible by state regulations
  • Promote mental alertness and provide emotional support
  • Report changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary team
  • Practice infection control and document visits accurately
  • Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement activities
Candidate Requirements
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and flexible
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
  • Minimum six months of patient care experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance, current CPR certification
