Job summary

Elara Caring in Indiana is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to deliver compassionate, in-home care across Warren, Fountain, and Montgomery counties. You will follow individualized care plans, assist with daily activities, monitor vitals, and help patients stay safe and comfortable in their own homes.

Requirements: valid CNA or Home Health Aide certificate and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds; valid driver’s license or reliable transport to travel between patient locations.

Qualifications

• Current State certificate as a Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Aide.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and assist up to 50 pounds.
• Must possess a valid driver's license or reliable transportation to travel between patient homes.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on personal care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other daily activities.
• Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respirations, and blood pressure.
• Help patients safely walk, transfer, and use mobility equipment.
• Follow each patient's individualized care plan.
• Monitor and report changes in a patient's condition to the care team.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Remind patients to take medications as directed.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations and follow safety and infection control guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation, protect patient privacy, and participate in required training.

Requirements

• Current State certificate as a Home Health Aide certification or Certified Nursing Aide certification
• Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
• Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record, OR have reliable transportation to travel between patient homes and assigned work locations.
