Job summary

Cherish Hospice seeks an experienced part-time Hospice Biller to manage billing operations and ensure accurate, timely claim processing. This role requires strong knowledge of hospice billing regulations and the ability to collaborate with clinical and administrative teams.

• Hospice billing experience required: minimum 3 years.
• High school diploma required; post-secondary billing education a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HIPAA regulations.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process hospice claims accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance.
• Upload NOE and NOTR to Medicare within regulatory timelines.
• Review and correct billing errors; follow up with payers.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records including billing data.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure accurate billing.
• Stay current with changes in billing regulations and coding guidelines.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize processes.
