Job summary

Angels Care Hospice is seeking a Bereavement Coordinator in Texas to plan, implement, and maintain a bereavement program for families and caregivers.

The role includes coordinating grief counseling, expanding the program, and providing support to hospice personnel. Strong communication and organizational skills, plus a MSW or theological degree, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent theological degree from college or university.
• Master’s degree in Social Work with qualifications of experienced clinical grief counseling.
• Experience with families/caregivers and patients through death & dying issues.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Knowledge and commitment to hospice philosophy.
• Good verbal and written communication, and organization skills.
• Understanding of grief response and experience with counseling.
• Licensed driver with an automobile that is insured.

Responsibilities

• Reflects the needs of the family in the bereavement care plan and updates and revisions are conducted on an ongoing basis.
• Implements the Plan of Care provisions related to the bereavement needs of families & significant others.
