Job summary

Mercy Health Home Care and Hospice by Compassus is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide compassionate in-home care, supporting patients and families in the final stages of life. The role emphasizes comfort, dignity, and holistic care as part of a dedicated hospice team.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred; must meet state licensure requirements.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must have completed state-approved nurse aide training program and have been employed in that capacity for the previous 24 months if licensure not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comfort care to patients enabling them to remain at home with their loved ones.
• Work as a member of the hospice team to meet each patient’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Help patients approach their final days with joy, peace, and dignity.
