Job summary

TriHealth Hospice of Cincinnati is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide direct patient care and compassionate support to patients and families in homecare settings. You will assist with activities of daily living under nurse supervision and help maintain safety and comfort for patients.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 6 months to 2 years of healthcare experience, basic reading/math, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 Months-2 Years healthcare experience preferred.
• Reading and Math ability appropriate to the position.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days required.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents basic patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a nurse, including bathing, feeding, ambulation, and providing companionship.
• Communicates effectively with the patient’s interdisciplinary team and family members.
• Performs equipment and supply related quality checks; reports problems or malfunctions.
• Monitors supply rooms, restocks supplies as needed.
• Complies with regulatory documentation requirements and demonstrates basic computer/documentation skills.
