Job summary

Redcrest Hospice in Bloomington, IN is seeking a Hospice Aide I to provide compassionate end-of-life care under RN supervision. You will assist with daily activities, offer emotional support to patients and families, and help maintain a safe, dignified environment.

The role requires CNA certification in the state, English communication skills, and a caring, dependable attitude. Schedule includes three 12-hour shifts weekly with weekend rotation at Hospice House in Bloomington.

Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Nurse Aide (CNA, STNA, or equivalent) in the applicable state.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Compassionate, dependable, and respectful in all patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to patients in line with the plan of care and RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Offer emotional and physical comfort to patients and families during end-of-life care.
• Observe, document, and report patient condition changes to the RN.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices.

Working closely under the supervision of a registered nurse, the hospice aide helps with personal care tasks like bathing, dressing, and grooming to ensure patients feel comfortable, safe, and supported. In addition to providing physical care, the hospice aide offers emotional comfort and companionship to both patients and their families.
