Job Responsibilities

The hospice aide performs personal cares and assists patients with activities of daily living. This role is a contributing member of the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to collaborate daily with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers
  • Work closely with patients on a 1-1 basis, with support from the care team
  • Ability to work independently, managing communication via phone, email, and meetings, and understanding hospice regulations
  • Strong time management skills for visits, documentation, and meetings
  • Willingness to learn electronic medical records systems
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance to travel across the service area
