Job summary

St. Croix Hospice in Indianapolis, IN seeks an entry-level Hospice Aide to join a compassionate care team. You will perform basic patient care under RN supervision, document care activities promptly, and help ensure comfort and safety for our patients and families.

Ideal candidates are CNAs with state certification, have a valid driver's license, and demonstrate empathy, integrity, and strong communication. The role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities within a growing hospice network.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• CNA certification/current state designation.
• Licensed and insured driver with vehicle in good order.

Responsibilities

• You will provide patient care including bathing, nail/skin care, dressing/undressing, dental and other personal hygiene while maintaining a sanitary and orderly environment
• You will offer positive, respectful, and confidential patient/family communication
• You will be responsible for taking and recording vital signs, and assisting with self-administered medications
• You will plan and prepare nutritious meals, including shopping and feeding the patient as needed
• You will assess and report patient's condition and changes to the RN Case Manager
• You will assist in ambulation, exercise, transfers, positioning and support a complete range of motion and other therapy activities

As the Hospice Aide, you are a paraprofessional and valued member of the interdisciplinary care team. You will work under RN supervision and focus on quality, continuity, and safe patient care. In this role you will be responsible for timely and accurate documentation of care.
