Job summary

VitalCaring is seeking a dedicated Hospice Aide/CNA to provide compassionate, in-home end-of-life care across Washington County, AL. You will partner with RNs, social workers, and families to deliver comfort, dignity, and quality of life in patients' homes.

The role emphasizes presence, empathy, and adherence to care plans, with responsibilities including daily living assistance, vital signs, documentation, and teamwork. Travel to patient homes is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of state-required Hospice Aide/CNA training; CNA cert if required by state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to follow care plans, document clearly, and communicate effectively.
• Comfort working with end-of-life patients and families.
• Strong empathy, compassion and emotional intelligence.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between patient homes.
• Patient-first mindset with respect for dignity and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Support comfort through repositioning, mobility assistance, and skin integrity care.
• Provide light housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Offer respite support to caregivers and families.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN/Case Manager.
• Assist with vital signs and basic care tasks as directed.

What You’ll Do

What You Bring
