Summary

We are hiring for a Hospice Aide / CNA.

Pay: $18-23 an hour

Responsibilities

The Hospice Aide, under the supervision of a registered nurse, provides personal direct patient care services as outlined in the Plan of Care, daily.

• Reports patient condition or environmental concerns to the Executive Director or designee after each patient encounter, following the Care Management process as needed.
• Assists with ADLs such as mobility, transfers, walking, grooming, bathing, dressing, undressing, eating, and toileting during each visit.
• Performs incidental household services essential to the patient's health at home to prevent or delay institutionalization.
• Participates in QAPI (Quality Assessment & Performance Improvement) activities by identifying problems and reporting to the administrator as needed.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Education and Experience

License Requirements

• Successful completion of a competency evaluation prior to patient care.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Skill Requirements

• Mature with the ability to handle the demands of a hospice aide role.
• Ability to read, write, and follow directions accurately and promptly.
