Schedule: Full Time

Shift: 8:30am-5pm with every other weekend coverage.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Hospice Aide is responsible for attending to the personal care needs of terminally ill patients and providing supportive care for caregivers to promote comfort. The Hospice Aide works under the direct supervision of the Hospice Registered Nurse/Case Manager and follows the care plan developed by the Patient Care Manager and the Nurse. Care can be provided in the patient’s home, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and inpatient hospice units.

• Follow schedule of several visits per day with travel

Qualifications:

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have 6 months experience in the healthcare field
• Must maintain at least 12 contact hours of education annually
• Certified Nursing Aide certificate recognized by the State of Florida Board of Nursing or
• Hospice Aide training from an approved 75-hour training course
• Active American Heart Association BLS
• Valid in-state Driver’s License with current car insurance

Preferred qualifications:

Hospice and Palliative care certification
