Seeking Caring Full-Time Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our Compassionate Team!

St. Joseph Hospice in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Full-time Hospice Aide CNA to join our team and become part of our center of excellence as we provide hospice care to our patients and their loved ones.

Job Duties:

• Provides assistance with mobility, transferring, walking, grooming, bathing, dressing, or undressing, eating and toileting
• Assists with the safe use of a walker or wheelchair as taught and supervised by the nurse or physical therapist for a specific patient
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for clients by observing infection control practices, following our guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to your supervisor
• Reports any change in the patient’s mental or physical condition or home situation to the Registered Nurse and members of the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years old
• Completed High School or earned Equivalency Diploma
• Current CNA certification Current CPR certification required
• Minimum of six (6) months’ work experience in a direct care setting
• CPR Certified
• Have dependable transportation, current driver’s license, and auto insurance
