Job summary

HOLY FAMILY HOSPICE AND SPIRITUAL CARE LLC in Georgia is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide physical and emotional support to patients and families in home settings. You will assist with daily living activities, maintain patient comfort, and deliver compassionate care with dignity.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent.
• Experience in end-of-life care in home care or other healthcare settings preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Patience, compassion, and ability to work with patients and families.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently in patient's homes.
• Must have reliable vehicle with valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance.
• Understanding and adherence to infection control protocols.
• Adaptability to patient's home environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Offer companionship, emotional support to patients and families.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to RN Case Manager/Administrator.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment; report safety concerns.
• Help with light housekeeping (laundry, meal preparation).
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care.
• Participate in required training and continuing education.

Position Summary

A Hospice Aide provides physical and emotional support to patients and their families, assists with daily living activities, and ensures patient comfort and dignity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• ? Must have access to a reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license in the state residing as well as proof of vehicle insurance

• ? Must be able to show adaptability to patient's home environment

Work Environment

• ? Diverse surroundings in patient homes with unpredictable environments such as uneven surfaces and potential hazards such as animals, tobacco smoke and exposure to communicable diseases, etc.
• ? Hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, adult foster homes, etc.

Physical Demands

• ? Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• ? Ability to assist patients with mobility and other physical tasks
• ? Ability to lift at least 50lbs and move patients as needed
• ? Ability to sit, stand, bend and walk for extended periods.
