Job summary

Gentiva is seeking a dependable Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients in homes, assisted living facilities, or inpatient units. You will assist with daily activities, support mobility, and offer emotional support to patients and families.

Active CNA license and CPR certification are required, plus a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle. Six months of direct patient care experience is expected, with opportunities for professional growth within Gentiva’s

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients.

Essential Functions

About You
Qualifications – What You’ll Bring:

  • Comfortable working in home settings, hospice facilities, or long-term care environments

  • Demonstrated compassion, patience, and ability to handle emotional situations

  • Willingness to work independently and adapt to changing patient needs

Preferred Background (Not Required):
  • Experience in home health, hospice, palliative care, or oncology

  • Prior roles in hospital nursing, ICU, geriatrics, med-surg, ER, telemetry, or nursing homes

  • Exposure to end-of-life care, wound care, or admissions support
