Job summary

A healthcare provider is looking for a Hospice Aide to provide essential personal care to patients in their homes. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and preparing meals. Qualifications

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Meets training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws.

Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care to patients including bathing and dressing.
  • Preparing nutritious meals and assisting in feeding.
  • Taking vitals such as temperature and blood pressure.
  • Assisting in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care.
  • Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as needed.
  • Assist patients in self-administration of medications.
  • Report on patients’ conditions and significant changes to the RN.
