Job summary

Compassus provides integrated home-based hospice and home health services, serving patients nationwide. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with CPR certification will support comfort care and participate in a compassionate hospice team, helping patients remain in their homes with loved ones.

In this role, you will address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, ensuring dignity at end of life and contributing to overall quality of life for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold CNA certification and CPR certification.
• State licensure or certification as required by the state.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (highly preferred).
• Current CPR certification.
• In states where licensure is not required, must be licensed/certified or have completed a state-approved nurse aide training program and be continuously employed in that capacity for the previous 24 months.
• State‑specific licensing or certification as required (see below).

State‑Specific Requirements

• Arizona: Must be licensed/certified as a Nurses’ Aide.
• California: State certification as a home health aide required.
• Colorado: Completed state training program and certified via DORA.
• Indiana: Aides required to be registered on the Indiana Nurse Aide Registry (licensure not required).
• Missouri: Licensed/certified as a Nurses’ Aide; or completed nurse aide training program and employed for past 24 months; or enrolled in a nursing program with clinical rotation and passed Fundamentals of Nursing course.
• New Hampshire: Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) required.
• New Jersey: Certification as a Homemaker – Home Health Aide; or long‑term care CNA.
• Virginia: Aide certification required to practice.
• Wisconsin: Aides required to be certified and listed on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.
