Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Hospice Nurse (LPN or RN) for a 7on/7off on-call role in the East Kansas City Metro area. The position covers evenings and weekends, with home and community-based care after hours.

The nurse will assess and address personal, physical, emotional and social needs of patients and families, coordinating care with the broader hospice team and community resources.

Qualifications

• Active MO/KS nursing license.
• CPR certification required.
• 2–5 years hospice/palliative care experience.
• Knowledge of hospice services and interdisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide evening/weekend care to meet patient-family needs in homes and communities after hours.
• Evaluate and respond to patient/caregiver needs via phone contact, home visits, or facility visits for assessment, symptom management, teaching and coordination of care.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan and direct services within the hospice program.

Hospice: 7on / 7off, on call nurse (LPN or RN) - FULL-TIME

HIRING: Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse of Registered Nurse

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday 5PM-8AM

Friday 5PM-Monday 8AM (Continuous)

Territory: East Kansas City Metro territory covering approximately a 30-mile radius: Jackson County, and portions of Clay, Lafayette, Cass, Ray and Johnson counties; on-call clinicians may be dispatched anywhere within the service area.

MARY:

The 7on/7off hospice nurse supports the patient needs of the agency in the evening during the weekdays and over the weekend. The professional nurse builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individual and families within their homes and communities after normal business hours.

We are looking for a compassionate, talented and experienced Hospice Nurse (LPN or RN) that is eager to join an exciting organization and become part of our Hospice team.

The Hospice Nurse provides service for the personal, physical, emotional and social needs of the patient-family unit. Hospice Nurse will be responsible for evaluating and responding to the patient’s/caregiver’s needs via telephone contact, home visits, and/or facility visits for assessment, symptom management, treatment, teaching and coordination of care.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active Nursing License in the state of MO / KS
• Maintains an active CPR certification.
• At least 2-5 years of experience in hospice, palliative care and/or training in end-of-life care.
• Knowledge of hospice care and the services provided to patient and family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary group.
• Demonstrate organizational skills.
• Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrate analytical skills when problem-solving.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
