Job summary

United Central Industrial Supply, a SunSource company, in Kentucky seeks a technical liaison to support hose, pipe and gasket production. You will act as intermediary between sales and production, learn end-use requirements, and propose practical technical solutions to manufacturing challenges.

Additional duties include facilitating repairs and maintenance of equipment, coordinating with Inventory Control on stock levels, and helping improve manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as intermediary between sales and production personnel, providing technical assistance designed to promote product knowledge and to facilitate the overall sales process.
• Work with existing and new customers, learn their end-use product requirements and provide/suggest innovative technical solutions to individual customer problems.
• Develop technical solutions to product manufacturing issues. Improve and streamline the hose and gasket manufacturing process. Evaluate new tools in the manufacture of said products. Improve the current utilization of current tools/equipment, to include programming improvements of computer-controlled devices.
• Facilitate the repair and ongoing maintenance of current equipment.
• Work with Inventory Control regarding stock levels, obsolete inventory, etc.
