Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a production associate for hose coiling, pressure testing, and related quality inspections. The role involves verifying parts, measuring dimensions, placing hoses in correct containers, and recording defects.

You will follow safety guidelines, maintain a clean work area, and participate in Lean/5S initiatives. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, basic math and reading/writing skills, and the ability to work in a team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Production work preferred but not required; on the job training from 1 to 8 weeks or extend to 10 weeks if needed.
• Good verbal and interpersonal communication skills; sound decision making; basic reading, writing and math.

Responsibilities

• Review conformance of hose while coiling on reel and cut hose as needed.
• Verify part number, hose size and job numbers per specifications.
• Review dimensions, tag colors and take up reel diameter.
• Inspect product for flaws such as bony hose, broken/missing wires, kinked hose.
• Tape and cut nonconforming sections; place scrap in proper containers.
• Record attributes and hose scrap on inspection sheets; update WW3.
• Measure OD, ID and pitch; prepare labeling of hose.
• Cut burst and periodic samples as required; clean plug gages.
• Operate pressure test; set up test mode and record PSI.
• Maintain clean, safe work area; follow 5S and safety guidelines.
• Report production issues to Direct Lead; perform work of equal or lower classification.
