Job summary

Paradise Landscaping is seeking a dedicated Horticulturist to promote healthy growth and beauty of lawns and plantings. You will prune, mulch, apply fertilizers and insecticides, and adjust watering while supporting plant health care for perennials and annuals.

You may lead a small team during workload peaks and seasonal demands. The role reports to the president or an assistant and requires strong field skills, customer interaction, and safe equipment operation on a field-based site in North

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal communication skills to build rapport with clients.
  • Horticultural knowledge including plant healthcare and pruning experience.
  • Strong observational and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional communication with customers and genuine care for their needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Preferred: knowledge of regional plants, irrigation, drainage, turf and lighting.
  • Familiarity with pump operations is a plus.

Job Summary

As a Horticulturist at Paradise Landscaping, you will play a crucial role in promoting healthy growth and enhancing the beauty of lawns and plantings. Your responsibilities include pruning, mulching, fertilizer and insecticide applications, and making watering adjustments. The Horticulturist will actively contribute to the overall health and development of plants, perennials, and annuals, solving client problems related to plant health care.

This field position, reporting to the president or assistant, may lead a small team (1-2 additional members) based on workload and seasonal demands.

Responsibilities
  • Plant identification and proper pruning techniques.
  • Inventory management and order processing.
  • Research industry standards and use quality products.
  • Safely operate equipment and perform daily maintenance.
