Job summary

Alaska Behavioral Health in Anchorage is seeking a Growth Coordinator to support hydroponic and outdoor growing operations, lead and train Operations Associates and Apprentices, and translate activity needs into staffing and material prep. You will maintain clean, safe growing spaces and assist in hands‑on horticultural activities.

The role supports therapeutic and educational programs within our Seeds of Change initiative.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years' experience in coordinating and leading groups.
• Strong background in horticulture, greenhouse operations, or sustainable agriculture.
• Experience supervising staff or youth in a work‑based or educational setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Adaptability to work in a changing environment with diverse populations.
• Calm, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Enjoys horticulture, hands‑on work, and helping others develop practical skills.
• Comfortable in therapeutic or clinical‑adjacent spaces.
• Comfortable coordinating people, priorities, and day‑to‑day operational needs.
• Able to model professionalism and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily hydroponic greenhouse and outdoor growing operations, including plant care and crop planning.
• Provide daily directions, training, and support to Operations Associates and Apprentices.
• Maintain safe, organized, and functional growing spaces, equipment, supplies, and activity stations.
• Work with the Service Coordinator to prepare spaces for groups, field trips, volunteers, and scheduled use of Seeds.
• Lead or support hands‑on horticultural activities and tours as needed.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
