Metropolitan Community College seeks an energetic adjunct instructor to teach Horticulture and Land Systems at the Fort Omaha Campus. The role involves delivering courses to a diverse learner population and emphasizing equity and inclusion in classroom and lab settings.

A teaching demonstration is required during the interview process; successful candidates may travel to other campuses. Compensation is $580 per Equivalent Credit Hour (ECH), commensurate with position and experience.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree + 8 years of full-time related occupational experience in horticulture, with 4 years in management/professional level.
  • Associate degree in field AND Bachelor degree in any field + 4 years of related occupational experience, with 2 years at management/professional level.
  • Bachelor degree in field + 2 years of related occupational experience in management/professional level horticulture.
  • Master degree in field + 2 years of related occupational experience in field.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a variety of Horticulture and Land Systems courses at the Fort Omaha Campus.
  • Participation in teaching demonstrations as part of the interview process; travel to other campuses may be required.
