Tidewater Community College seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Horticulture courses across in-person, Zoom, or online formats. The role emphasizes student feedback, flexible engagement, and alignment with program outcomes.

The ideal candidate will hold an appropriate degree, have related horticulture experience, and be capable of communicating effectively in electronic format while advising students through office hours and timely assessments.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture with related experience.
• Experience in landscape design applications and theory, installation and management, and scaled technical drawing skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format.

Responsabilités

• Create a learning environment that facilitates knowledge and skills acquisition.
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and engage students with active learning.
• Deliver instruction and provide timely assessments and feedback on student learning.
• Support course outcomes and adapt to day, evening, or weekend classes as needed.
• Maintain at least 1 office hour per week for each course.
