Position Summary/Job Duties:

Four Winds Farm is looking for a person with a strong affinity for all things plants to assist in maintaining landscaped beds, vegetable gardens, prairies and specialty crops. We are a working farm with a public interaction, hosting a variety of events. As such, it is important that the grounds are kept in such a way as to enhance people's experience while on the farm through flower gardens, tree plantings and planted pots. We also have a demonstration orchard, chestnut grove, hop yard, wind break, and prairies, and are establishing a wetland meadow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a horticulture major who would like exposure to a variety of plant communities, or to anyone who would like to work outside.

Qualifications:

Must be able to use wheel barrow, bend over for weeding, use a shovel. Some plant knowledge and an eye for detail.

Must have transportation.
