Position Details

Title: Teacher, General Education

Identifies educational needs and provides instruction to students with disabilities, including learning disabilities, autism, emotional and behavioral disorders, and other health impairments.

Essential Functions

• Instruct students based on Individualized Education Plans (IEPs); assess and monitor progress.
• Develop lesson plans, select instructional materials, assess equipment needs, and utilize various instructional strategies to enhance achievement.
• Schedule and prepare relevant paperwork; conduct IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and professionals regarding educational programming.
• Participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant special educational field.
