Job Summary: Working in a plant environment, organizing, monitoring and controlling all consumables/ productions items stored in the stock room

Required Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Inventory Control knowledge an asset
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to interact with employees, and all levels of management
  • Excellent written/oral communication and listening skills
  • Works well independently and in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills able to learn new computer programs
  • Able to prioritize

Responsibilities:

  • Must work in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, company rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or clothing as required by the company
  • Maintain an inventory of all items to ensure adequate supply at all times
  • Check stock, enter replenishment requests into computer system
  • Ensure all consumables and/or products are systematically received and placed in allocated area in the Stock Room in a timely fashion
  • Track items distributed to employees and maintain records
  • Communicate hot items and expedites to Purchasing as required
  • Ensure required items are returned by the employee prior to distributing a replacement as outlined by the company (ie: gloves, grinding shield, glasses, etc)
  • Responsible for keeping the Stock Room organized and clean at all times
  • Assist individuals using the crib software as needed / requested
  • Maintain proper MRE Manufacturing housekeeping standards
  • Must notify lead hand and/or supervisors of all dysfunctional and/or unsafe equipment or work practices
  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisors and Managers
  • Will participate in cycle counts and inventory counts on a quarterly basis or as required
  • Competency Level 1 includes all basic understanding of the processes and interactions as determined by the leadership team

Working Conditions

  • 5% office, 95% plant floor (PPE required)

Effort/Physical Demands

  • Constant standing, walking, bending and lifting (light to heavy), seldom climbing
  • Warm/ Cold temperatures
  • Communication with Team Leader, Group Leader and Managers
  • Overtime as required

Health and Safety Responsibilities
