Job summary

Martinrea Hopkinsville is seeking a quality-focused technician to support control plans through data collection and daily audits of torque, leak tests and alignment. You will teardown unfit modules and report non-conformances to suppliers and internal teams, while maintaining records and assisting in ISO 9001/IATF 16949 compliance.

Ideal candidates have community college quality coursework and strong MS Office skills, with the ability to work independently and interact with management to drive

Responsibilities

• Collect first time data on torque, leak test and alignment to support the Control Plan.
• Audit to assure product conformance and chart results daily for plant management.
• Teardown modules deemed unfit for use.
• Review and report daily non-conformance issues with suppliers and internal teams.
• Create and modify Quality Alerts and Temporary Work Instructions.
• Assist in IATF 16949:2016 / ISO 9001 compliance.
• Assist in resolving quality issues with incoming material, processes or client discrepancies.
• Maintain inspection, quality and certification records and reports.
• Support daily goals for continuous improvement, safety and costs.

Required Education And Experience

• Community College courses in Quality related discipline
• Ability to interact with Management Team in a professional manner to continually enhance the company's performance

Essential Functions

• Responsible for collecting first time data on torque, leak test and alignment in support of the Control Plan
• Perform auditing as required to assure product conformance and charting variable and attribute results on a daily basis and providing reports to plant management
• Teardown of all modules determined to be unfit for use
• Reviewing, processing and reporting daily non-conformance issues, both supplier and internal
• Creating and modifying all Quality Alerts as well as Temporary Work Instructions
• Assisting in IATF 16949:2016 / ISO 9001 compliance
• Assisting in the resolution of all quality issues with either incoming material, internal manufacturing processes or discrepancies with the client
• Maintaining all inspection, quality and certification records and reports
• Supporting team members in meeting daily goals with regards to continuous improvement, scheduling, quality, safety and cost
• Knowledge of quality welds
• Input daily scrap results, Update GP12 results on the tracking log
• Abide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
