Martinrea is seeking a Group Leader to motivate the workforce to meet production and quality goals while maintaining a safe work environment. The role has authority to enforce policies, direct associates, and drive improvements on the production floor.

The candidate should have automotive manufacturing experience, knowledge of welding/painting processes, and a strong sense of urgency. Leadership, teamwork and commitment to safety are essential in this role.

Qualifikationen

• Automotive manufacturing experience including customer releasing and shipping requirements is preferred.

Job Summary:

The purpose of the Group Leader is to motivate the workforce to meet production and quality requirements while maintaining a safe work environment. This individual has the authority to enforce policies and procedures that govern the production floor and to assign, direct, discipline associates as necessary to accomplish assigned tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two years of college or equivalent experience
• Three to five years of experience in manufacturing environment or combination of education and experience.
• Intimate knowledge of welding, metal stamping and forming, and/or paint operations
• Automotive manufacturing experience to include knowledge of customer releasing and shipping requirements
• Very strong sense of urgency and the ability to get things done
• Must be people oriented

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, develop and conduct evaluations of assigned associates
• Make sure daily manufacturing requirements are met to meet customer demands
• Ensure conformance to all quality systems and standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for self and subordinates
• Coordinate manufacturing schedules with Production Control
• Work closely with cross-functional departments to ensure an adequate supply of raw materials, WIP, MRO items, and human resources
• Meet financial goals as outlined in the business plan
• Coordinate with all parties to ensure new product launches are defect free and on time
• Help identify areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with Federal/State/Local safety and environmental regulations
• Seek ways to reduce waste, manufacturing byproducts, and hazardous raw materials
• Report and enter daily scrap in CMS
• Inspire teamwork among associates
• Solve production problems
• Create a participative management environment
• Meet production schedules

Working Conditions

• 20% office, 80% plant floor (PPE required)
