Job summary

Peitzmeier Demolition is seeking an experienced Hook-and-Lift Truck Driver in Omaha to join our demolition team. You will deliver, pick up, and haul dumpsters and containers to demolition job sites and other designated locations, ensuring safe handling and compliance with DOT regulations.

The ideal candidate has hook-and-lift experience, a valid CDL Class A, a clean driving record, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Experience operating hook-and-lift equipment preferred.
• CDL Class A required.
• Clean or acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of dumpster handling and safe hauling procedures.
• Ability to maneuver truck in tight spaces and demolition sites.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a hook-and-lift truck to deliver, exchange, and pick up dumpsters and containers.
• Transport demolition debris and construction waste to disposal facilities.
• Deliver and position containers at job sites per customer instructions and safety procedures.
• Secure loads and ensure proper loading and transportation.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain delivery and pickup records accurately.
• Keep truck and equipment clean; report any issues.
• Follow DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatchers, supervisors, and crews.
• Assist with other job-related duties as needed.

We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and hardworking Hook & Lift Truck Driver to join our demolition team. The driver will be responsible for delivering, picking up, and hauling dumpsters and containers to and from demolition job sites, construction sites, and other designated locations.

The ideal candidate must have experience operating hook-and-lift equipment, understand safe hauling procedures, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced demolition and construction environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate a hook-and-lift truck to deliver, exchange, and pick up dumpsters and containers.
• Transport demolition debris, construction waste, and other approved materials to designated disposal facilities.
• Deliver and position containers at job sites while following customer instructions and site safety procedures.
• Secure loads and ensure containers are properly loaded and transported.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery and pickup records.
• Keep the truck and equipment clean and report any mechanical issues or damage.
• Follow all applicable DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.

Requirements

• Previous hook-and-lift truck driving experience is preferred.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Clean or acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of hook-and-lift equipment, dumpster handling, and safe hauling procedures.
• Ability to safely maneuver a truck in tight spaces, construction zones, and demolition sites.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to climb in and out of the truck and perform required inspections.
