Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a cleaner to service commercial restaurant exhaust hood systems in a 3rd shift, 6pm–6am schedule. Role involves removing grease and debris, inspecting systems, and maintaining safe working conditions on-site at client locations in Zion, IL.

Responsibilities include operating cleaning tools, completing service paperwork, and liaising professionally with restaurant staff. Prior experience is a plus, safety training provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience cleaning and servicing commercial restaurant exhaust hoods and kitchen ventilation systems is a PLUS.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain commercial kitchen exhaust hood systems.
• Remove grease, carbon buildup, and other debris from exhaust hoods, filters, ductwork, and fans.
• Perform detailed cleaning of restaurant ventilation systems according to company and safety standards.
• Set up and safely operate cleaning tools and equipment.
• Inspect exhaust systems and report any damage, maintenance concerns, or safety issues.
• Protect kitchen equipment and surrounding areas during cleaning.
• Follow proper safety procedures when working with cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Work on ladders and elevated surfaces when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Complete service paperwork and document completed work.
• Interact professionally with restaurant customers and staff.
• Work efficiently to complete scheduled jobs on time.
