Summit Fire & Security is seeking a Hood Technician to clean and maintain commercial kitchen exhaust systems. The role involves after-hours work, inspecting sites, and coordinating with restaurant staff to ensure safety and quality.
You will document work with photos and paperwork, and manage truck and equipment between sites. The ideal candidate has a HS Diploma or equivalent, strong leadership and collaboration skills, and a safety-forward mindset.
The purpose of the Hood Technician position is to assist and be responsible for cleaning the grease off the cooking exhaust systems of commercial kitchens and supervisory functions relating to crews.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, ascend and descend step stools, ladders and stairs, kneel, lift <60lbs, reach above and below shoulders, stand and walk for extended periods of time. Employee is required to see in color, close and far distances, peripheral, depth, and adjust focus. Employee will occasional be required to balance, crouch, drive, kneel, lift >60lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights.
Employees will regularly be required to work outside, and be exposed to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards and noise. Employee will occasionally be required to work indoors in an office setting, work alone and with others. Employee must consistently wear all appropriate personal protective equipment, as required by company safety policies while visiting locations.
