Job summary

Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University is seeking an Academic Success Advising Coordinator to support honors students' academic success and holistic development on the Downtown Phoenix campus. You will lead advising efforts to promote retention, persistence, and graduation.

Responsibilities include individual and group advising, guiding students through the honors curriculum, coordinating workshops, and analyzing data to improve advising impact, with collaboration across Barrett

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and three years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
• Experience in academic advising in higher education preferred, especially with honors or high-achieving populations.
• Ability to communicate complex policies and advising requirements clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group advising to a large cohort of honors students to support retention and graduation.
• Promote Barrett opportunities such as internships, research fellowships, study abroad, and co-curricular activities.
• Guide students through the honors thesis process with workshops and online resources.
• Monitor student performance and address academic concerns, escalating urgent issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate student records using Workday, DARS, Salesforce, and Trellis.
• Coordinate special projects, advising policies, and orientation presentations.
