Homework Help HS/Site Supervisor - SU25 (afternoons)
The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, vitally connected to our local area for over 50 years. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as site supervisor of Youth Academy credit and non-credit programs at one or more sites, used by the College for the conduct of instruction. This schedule for this position is flexible but primarily M-F 11am-5:30 p.m.
  • Coordinate the Continuing Education to plan and schedule usage of youth programs.
  • Supervises teaching staff to ensure teachers arrive on time and prepared for coursework. Identifies substitute teachers or covers the courses when needed.
  • Handles student disciplinary issues and contacts appropriate law enforcement personnel to take action in response to illegal behavior. Communicates with appropriate college and/or partner representatives.
  • Assigns classrooms, labs, and other instructional areas to specific courses based on needs. Communicates to supervisor, faculty, students and parents on room assignments.
  • Assists in the distribution and resolution of logistical issues. Distributes appropriate materials, including books, tests, instructional supplies to faculty in support of programs.
  • Responsible for sign-in and sign-out procedures with minors and guardians. Oversight of minors while on campus property.
  • Supports agreed upon accommodations for students with disabilities in courses on site, including additional time or reading aloud.
  • Manages emergency precautions and emergencies, including certain medical needs, evacuation procedures, or weather-related issues.
  • Ensures building is opened in accordance with local security code requirements and that classrooms are unlocked and fully ready for use by instructors and students before the scheduled start of classes.
  • Ensures classrooms are left in an orderly condition, locked and the facility is secured prior to departing facility. Notify facility manager in a timely manner of any discrepancies.
  • Ensures building is secured in accordance with local security code requirements.
  • Supervise students enrolled in lunch supervision.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma required.
  • Preferred: Associates Degree.
  • Experience Required: Previous youth programs experience for one (1) summer in an educational setting. Preferred: Two (2) or more summer experiences in an educational setting.
