Job summary

Fusion Academy in Minnesota is seeking a HomeworkCafé Teacher to support students in our homework hubs and social spaces. You will monitor progress, communicate with teachers and parents, and adapt support to each learner’s needs in a fast-paced, supportive campus.

You will mentor students, contribute to campus life, keep records organized, and participate in ongoing professional development—while advancing 1-to-1 personalized learning emotionally, socially, and academically.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to support students with a wide range of assignments.
• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to function in a high-paced environment, be calm and open for feedback, as well as a self-starter.
• Ability to build rapport with students while maintaining authority, boundaries, and discipline.
• Must maintain a clean and organized milieu space for students to learn.
• A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem-solve as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and help students’ progress in completion of homework and with executive functioning skills.
• Communicate with teachers and parents on student progress.
• Promote a positive social environment for students.
• Adapt support to meet each learner’s needs.
• Mentor each student and support their social-emotional growth.
• Contribute to campus life or culture.
• Keep student records accurate and organized.
• Invest in your own growth through reflection, feedback, and ongoing professional development.
• Other duties as assigned.
