Job summary

Fusion Academy, a fully accredited 1-to-1 private school for grades 5-12, is hiring a Homework Café Teacher to support students in our homework hubs and social spaces at the Walnut Creek campus.

You will monitor progress, communicate with teachers and parents, mentor students, promote a positive social environment, and adapt support to each learner’s needs while maintaining organized records and contributing to campus life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required; teaching credentials are a plus.
• Experience supporting students with diverse assignments.
• Experience with neurodiversity and mental health challenges.
• Mentoring and social-emotional learning focus.

• Bachelor’s degreerequired; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.
• Ability and willingness tosupport students witha wide range ofassignments.
• Experienceworking with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental health challenges.
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social-emotional learning.
• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to function in a high-paced environment, be calm and open for feedback, as well as a self-starter.
• Ability to build rapport with studentswhilemaintainingauthority, boundaries, and discipline.
• Mustmaintaina clean and organized milieu space for students to learn.

The ideal candidate will have experience doing the following:

• Teaching Social-emotional Learning
• Teaching executive functioning
• Has worked or is working with Upper Elementary and Middle School students
• Has classroom management experience
