Job summary

Sunriver Resort in Oregon seeks a Homes Housekeeper responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms and rental homes, following OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards and resort protocols. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety awareness, and exceptional service to guests and associates.

The position supports Sunriver Resort's mission to be the destination of choice. Flexibility with schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays may be required, and prior hospitality

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred.
• Hospitality experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of resort property, including vacation homes, condos, guest rooms and other work areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes designated areas to Sunriver Resort standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and wash basins.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs to supervisor.
• Follow lost-and-found procedures and respect guest property.

Overview

The Homes Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring the standards of cleanliness in assigned guest rooms and rental homes are achieved and maintained on a consistent basis to provide the highest level of guest satisfaction in cleanliness and service. The Room Attendant must follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing, or moving of objects/materials and/or the clean-up of blood, infectious materials, or body fluids containing blood in accordance with the OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards. They will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond Standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of resort property. Cleans vacation homes / condos / guest rooms and other work areas


• Cleans and sanitizes all designated areas to Sunriver Resort standards


• Must be able to work in team environment


• Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e. broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Reports all safety incidents to on-duty supervisor


• Acts with responsibility / respect towards all company property, equipment and co workers


• Changes soiled linens on beds and makes beds following the resort protocol


• Keeps housekeeping caddy clean, stocked and orderly at all times


• Removes all trash and waste to disposal containers


• Follows through on lost and found procedures. No articles shall be removed from occupied rooms. Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised.


• Washes windows, walls and woodwork, blinds as needed


• Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums.


• Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, tubs, floors and showers


• Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor (such as leaky faucets or toilets, loose tile, broken window panes, missing nuts or screws, beds needing repair, etc.)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Prior housekeeping/custodial experience preferred


• Prior hospitality experience preferred


• At least one year’s customer service experience preferred


• Must be able to work under pressure


• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment


• Must have excellent listening skills


• Must always ensure a teamwork environment


• Must have basic knowledge of chemicals and their uses


• Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays
