Job Description: As a Homemaker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and comfort of individuals within their homes by providing comprehensive homemaking services. Your responsibilities will include performing household tasks and managing home-related activities. You will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for individuals to thrive in their homes.

Responsibilities:
  1. Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and cleaning surfaces.
  2. Manage the laundry services including washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothes.
  3. Monitor overall cleanliness and tidiness of the home environment.
  4. Ensure adherence to hygiene and safety standards within the home.
  5. Assist in managing household activities such as arranging transportation, meal preparation, and shopping for groceries, clothing, and household supplies.
  6. Provide support with simple household repairs and maintenance tasks.
  7. Coordinate and organize home-related tasks efficiently to enhance the functionality and comfort of the living space.
  8. Monitor home safety measures and address any potential hazards.
  9. Maintain clear and respectful communication with individuals, their families, and caregivers regarding their preferences, needs, and concerns.
  10. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, case managers, and other team members to ensure holistic care and support for individuals.
  11. Document relevant information accurately and timely, including daily activities, observations, and any notable incidents.
  12. Stay updated on best practices, guidelines, and regulations related to homemaking services.
  13. Participate in training programs, workshops, and continuing education opportunities to enhance skill and knowledge in caregiving and home management.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional growth in the field of homemaking.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional education or certifications).
  2. Previous experience in a similar role or working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health concerns, or related populations is preferred.
  3. Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, person-centered care and support.
  4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  5. Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
  6. Basic computer skills and proficiency in documenting services accurately.
  7. Physical ability to assist individuals with mobility, lifting, and personal care needs as required.
  8. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  9. Current auto liability insurance.
  10. Ability to drive own vehicle while working.
  11. Acceptable clearance of background check.
  12. Must be dependable, adaptable, and flexible.
  13. Must be observant and detail-oriented.
