Right At Home In Home Care in Wallingford CT is seeking professional vaccinated Homemakers, HHAs, Companions, CNAs, and PCAs to provide in-home care for elderly clients. Candidates with 6+ months of caregiving experience are preferred.

Great for students and retirees; flexible scheduling and weekly pay are offered. Compensation ranges from $17.50 to $22.00 per hour, with paid training, PTO, sick pay, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 6 months or more documented caregiving experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.

• Must have a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home care to elderly clients in a home setting.
• Assist with activities of daily living including eating, personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
• Remind and assist with prescribed medications and exercises.
• Offer companionship through reading, music, puzzles, and conversation.
• Communicate changes and concerns to supervisors promptly.

Requirements of the Caregiver

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Reliable Transportation
• Valid Driver's license and auto insurance

• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
• Must have basic computer skills and navigate with little assistance from others

You don't mind getting a little dirty...this could include (but not limited to) assistance with eating, personal hygiene, assistance with dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, laundry, and other household chores.

You don't have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.

You are able to assist the client in many ways, this could include (but are not limited to), medication reminders, assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises, dementia care, companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Must Haves

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Must possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
• You must have a high school diploma or GED
• Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
• Must have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agencies
• Current CPR Certificate is recommended
• 6 months experience as a Home Health Aide in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State-approved Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide course.
