Right at Home, an in-home care office in Wallingford, CT, is hiring Live-In Caregivers. The role requires reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, insurance, and a high school diploma or GED.

The caregiver will perform personal care, meal prep, errands, and light housekeeping, with opportunities for advancement and regular weekly pay. Ideal candidates are 18+, English-proficient, able to lift up to 50 pounds, and able to pass a background check.

Responsabilidades

• Provide personal care activities for daily living
• Assist with ambulation and transfers
• Assist with dressing and grooming
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions
• Accompany client to errands or medical appointments
• Perform light housekeeping as needed
• Incorporate hospice supportive care when directed and monitor medications reminders

Right at Home, In-Home Care office located in Wallingford, CT is seeking to hire Live-In Caregivers who possess reliable car, drivers license, and insurance to join a dynamic care team providing a professional, comfortable, and supportive experience to our clients' while in their home. Right At Home, In-Home Care is seeking Live-in Caregivers to work in the following targeted locations: Wallingford, Hamden, Middletown, Cromwell, Southington, Plainville, Cheshire, Waterbury, Naugatuck, Middlebury, Watertown, Woodbury, Southbury, Terryville, Plymouth, and Thomaston locations.

Caregiver (Required) Items: No exceptions

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must have a reliable car
• Valid Driver's license and auto insurance
• High School diploma or GED
• Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
• Must have basic computer skills and navigate with little assistance from others

Nice to Have's:

• CNA or HHA Certification
• Covid Vaccination and Booster, PPD, Flu, Hepatitis B and MMR
• CPR and First Aid Certification

Essential Caregiver Functions:

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Personal Hygiene
• Ambulation/Transfers
• Dressing/Shaving
• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments
• Performs light housekeeping activities

Performs patient-specific activities are taught by a Right at Home senior caregiver and/or office staff. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Providing hospice supportive care
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises
• Assisting with blood glucose monitoring
• Care of bed-bound patients
• Incontinence care
• Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts

Preferred Experience in:

• Hoyer lift
• Personal care
• Range of Motion Exercises
• Foley care
• Companionship
• Light cleaning

Compensation:

$175.00-$262.50 per day
