Job summary

Right at Home Lima is seeking caregivers to join our in-home care team, delivering compassionate, clinical-level assistance in patients’ homes. You will help with daily living activities, meal preparation, light housekeeping and mobility support under the guidance of a Right at Home nurse.

Qualifications

• Provide personal care and help with activities of daily living.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to patients.
• Assist with light housekeeping and daily household tasks.
• Administer or remind about prescribed medications as directed.
• Assist with mobility and transfer needs, including ambulation.

Responsibilities

• Performs personal care activities to assist with ADLs.
• Dresses, shaves and helps with grooming as needed.
• Prepares meals and snacks per instructions.
• Accompanies patient to appointments or errands.
• Performs light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry.
• Provides hospice supportive care and monitors health conditions.
• Reminds patient to take medications and follows care plan.

Essential Functions:

Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Personal Hygiene

• Ambulation/Transfers

• Dressing/Shaving

• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions

• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments

• Performs light housekeeping activities

Performs patient-specific activities that are taught by a Right at Home nurse. These could include (but are not limited to):

• Providing hospice supportive care

• Medication reminders

• Assisting with the prescribed range of motion exercises

• Assisting with blood glucose monitoring

• Care of bed-bound patients

• Incontinence care

• Use lifting equipment such as gait belts and Hoyer lifts

Preferred Experience in:
