Job summary

Brudnick Center for Living is seeking a part-time Homemaker to own the dining experience for a ~16-resident household, including meal prep, service, and clean-up. Maintain a home-like atmosphere while supporting daily activities and transportation to events.

Responsibilities

  • Own the dining experience from start to finish by preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals for a dedicated household.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents by learning their preferences, routines, and needs for ~16 residents.
  • Assist with transportation to activities and encourage participation in daily life.
  • Adapt meals, schedules, and interactions to individual preferences while fostering independence and dignity.
  • Maintain a safe, organized kitchen and follow food safety standards, coordinating with the care team.

Homemaker | Brudnick Center for Living
$15.50 - $20.00/hour, based on experience
Part-Time
Shifts: 6:00AM - 2:30PM & 3:00PM - 7:00PM, rotating every other weekend

  • Own the dining experience from start to finish by preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals for a dedicated household, ensuring residents receive nutritious, appealing meals in a welcoming environment.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents by getting to know the unique preferences, routines, and needs of approximately 16 residents, creating a personalized and home-like atmosphere.
  • Serve as a universal team member by supporting residents beyond meal service, including assisting with transportation to activities and encouraging participation in daily life.
  • Promote resident choice and quality of life by adapting meals, schedules, and daily interactions to individual preferences while fostering independence, dignity, and engagement.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and inviting household by following food safety and sanitation standards, managing kitchen operations, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team to provide exceptional resident-centered care.
Qualifications for Success:
  • 18+ Years of age
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to follow instructions
  • Prior Dietary experience working in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English – both verbally and written
