Job summary

Stanly County Schools is seeking a McKinney-Vento Liaison Assistant in Albemarle, NC. This part-time, grant-funded role will identify and enroll homeless students, coordinate services, and advocate for family access to education.

The position reports to the Executive Director of Student Services and involves cross-agency collaboration. The ideal candidate will understand McKinney-Vento requirements, maintain records, and support school stability through transportation coordination and targeted

Qualifications

• Associate degree required (preferred in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Counseling, Psychology or related field).
• Experience with children, youth, families, schools, or community agencies is preferred.
• Knowledge of McKinney-Vento Act and related regulations is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the district's designated McKinney-Vento Liaison Assistant.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state requirements for homeless education.
• Coordinate annual needs assessments and report results for program improvements.
• Maintain records and end-of-year reporting for grant compliance and monitoring.
• Coordinate transportation and attendance interventions to support stability.
