Job summary

Home2 Suites is seeking a Housekeeping Inspector to ensure guest rooms meet cleanliness and amenity standards in line with brand guidelines.

Responsibilities include daily inspections, distributing stocked items, coordinating maintenance, and supporting the Executive Housekeeper with training and room allocations. You may cover the supervisor role during absences and assist with laundry tasks as workload requires.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel, housekeeping and hotel laundry operations required.
• Flexibility to work evenings/weekends.
• Demonstrates initiative, responsibility and adaptability.

Job description

The Home2 Suites is looking for a Housekeeping Inspector that is responsible for ensuring that all cleaned guest rooms have been properly cleaned, and stocked with amenities in accordance with hotel, company and brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for conducting daily inspections of all areas cleaned by the Housekeeping Department including the guest rooms and public areas.
• Responsible for distributing any new items that are to be stocked in the guest rooms.
• Responsible for notifying the Maintenance Department of any necessary repairs or maintenance work via the completion of maintenance work orders or verbal communication.
• Assist Executive Housekeeper in conducting room attendant training to improve weak areas reflected in the individual's performance evaluations.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in completing room assignments for the Housekeepers.
• Responsible for serving as the Executive Housekeeper in their absence for days off, sick, vacation or other.
• Responsible for assisting in cleaning rooms or public areas and performing laundry functions as workload may require.
• Responsible for performing "other" duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Work experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel, housekeeping and hotel laundry operations required.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Exhibits initiative, responsibility and flexibility.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Friendly, cooperative manner and patience in dealing with customers and staff.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally in English with coworkers, employees, owners, and management, both written and verbally.

Physical Requirements

• Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Ability to reach overhead, utilize both hands, to bend over and to stoop and kneel.
• Ability to operate light equipment such as vacuum cleaners and dishwashers.
• Must be capable of climbing and descending stairs during their shift.
