Job summary

State of Washington – DCYF seeks a Home Visiting Workforce and Professional Development Analyst to join the Strengthening Families Washington team. Based in Olympia with a flexible hybrid schedule; travel is required for training and meetings, including occasional out-of-state travel 1–3 times per year.

The role leads planning, development, and coordination of workforce initiatives for Washington’s home visiting workforce, including recruitment, onboarding, compensation, and professional

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, social science, health care or a related field and 3 years of progressively responsible experience administering, developing, or delivering family and child-related social services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, social science, health care or related field and 5 years of progressively responsible experience in planning, administering, developing, supervising or delivering family and child-related social services.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience totaling nine years in related fields AND three years of progressively responsible experience in family and child-related services.
  • The ability to take action to learn and grow.
  • The ability to take action to meet the needs of others.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage contracts that support professional development for home visitors, supervisors, administrators, and system partners.
  • Ensure all contracts are performance based with clear outcomes, accountability measures, and documentation of scope and deliverables.
  • Review and approve contractor invoices and conduct fiscal monitoring.
  • Create and maintain an annual calendar of contracted training and coordinate training availability.
  • Coordinate the twice-annual All Home Visiting Program meeting and evaluate outcomes.
  • Develop and implement a statewide workforce development framework.
  • Create and guide a strategic workforce plan and conduct activities to support the framework.
  • Research and recommend strategies to improve workforce data management and analyze data to support planning.
