Job summary

Orkin is hiring a Pro (Termite Pro) in the Washington, DC area. Starting pay is USD 20–23 per hour. The role focuses on home pest control installations, safety, and customer service as a TC Pro (Home Services Technician).

You’ll follow a scheduled route and complete quality installations to improve home safety and efficiency. Orkin offers a company vehicle, comprehensive benefits, paid training, and opportunities for promotions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid).

Responsibilities

• Follow a daily assigned route within your territory.
• Prepare and install services such as Attic remediations, crawl space encapsulations, Gutter protection systems and Radiant heat barriers.
• Complete all required service-related documentation.
• Build trusted relationships and represent Orkin with pride.
• Work in a variety of environments including rooftops, crawl spaces, attics, ladders, and confined spaces.
• Operate a company vehicle safely.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Prioritize safety in every aspect of the job, including equipment use, work environments, and customer interactions.
• Perform duties in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• No Previous Pest Control Experience Required - we'll train you to be a Pro!
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to obtain the appropriate pesticide license within the first 90 days of employment (company paid)
• Ability to work in the field independently, manage route-based assignments and interact with our great customers
• We will consider for employment all qualified applicants in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable state and local laws.

What will my work environment be like?

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator
• Willing to work in different types of weather conditions
