Job summary

VieMed Healthcare in Toledo, OH seeks an experienced Home Respiratory Therapist supervisor to oversee the clinical, technical, and administrative functions of the home respiratory therapy program. You will manage equipment installation, patient assessments, and service delivery at patient homes.

This role requires maintaining records, ensuring regulatory compliance, training staff, and collaborating with physicians and care teams to promote high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Medical or respiratory experience.
• A valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state where you practice.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall clinical, technical and administrative functions at the location on record regarding the Home Respiratory Therapist program.
• Installation/delivery of respiratory therapist equipment and provision of supplies to patients in the home; ongoing patient assessment.
• Clinical contact with physicians and other care providers; maintain records and documentation.
• Maintain inventory of Sleep Management/VieMed assets and supplies.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
• Ensure demographic data is updated and oversee regulatory guidelines for staff.
• Orient and train subordinate respiratory therapist staff/service technicians.
• Collaborate with office staff for prompt billing and third-party coverage information.
• Promote and market home respiratory therapy services to referral sources.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment prior to installation; provide patient contact availability; participate in on-call schedules.
