Servpro Industries, Inc. in Salem, MA seeks a skilled Home Repair Specialist to join our Reconstruction Department, focusing on residential repairs after property damage. You’ll perform general repairs, drywall, painting, flooring, and light carpentry while maintaining safety and quality.

You’ll work independently or with a team, communicating with project managers and homeowners. The role is full-time, with standard 40 hours per week and an emphasis on reliability and workmanship.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in residential remodeling or related trade preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of general home repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine practical repair solutions.
• Willingness to work in homes affected by water, fire, and other damage.

Responsibilities

• Perform general residential repair and reconstruction work.
• Install, repair, and finish drywall, including patching, taping, mudding, and sanding.
• Install and replace insulation.
• Perform interior and exterior painting.
• Install and repair flooring (LVP, laminate, etc.).
• Perform light carpentry (trim, baseboard, doors, framing).
• Complete demolition and preparation work as needed.
• Install and repair cabinetry and finish components.
• Punctual on-site with a clean, safe jobsite and proper communication.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, project managers, and other trades.
• Identify additional repair needs and communicate them to the project manager.
• Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Job description

SERVPRO Team JRF is looking for a skilled and dependable Home Repair Specialist to join our Reconstruction Department. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in residential repairs who takes pride in quality workmanship, problem-solving, and leaving a jobsite looking better than they found it.

Our Reconstruction Department completes residential and commercial repair work following water, fire, and other property damage. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded tradesperson who can confidently handle a variety of repair tasks and is comfortable working independently or as part of a team.

What You’ll Do

• Perform general residential repair and reconstruction work
• Install, repair, and finish drywall, including patching, taping, mudding, and sanding
• Install and replace insulation
• Perform interior and exterior painting
• Install and repair various types of flooring, including LVP, laminate, and other common residential flooring systems
• Perform light carpentry, including trim, baseboard, doors, framing, blocking, and other finish work
• Complete demolition and preparation work as needed
• Install and repair cabinetry and other finish components
• Perform punch-list and warranty work
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite
• Communicate professionally with homeowners, project managers, and other trades
• Identify additional repair needs and communicate them to the project manager
• Follow company procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards

Tile Experience Is a Plus

Experience with tile installation and repair is highly desirable but not required. Candidates with experience setting tile, preparing substrates, grouting, waterproofing, or completing tile repairs will be given additional consideration.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move construction materials and equipment

Pay Rate

Starts at $(25.00 - $35.00)/hour based on experience, with possibility of overtime pay and increases based on merit.
