Job summary

New and Improved Home Services LLC in Town of Florida, NY is seeking a reliable, hands-on apprentice to join our growing remodeling team. This paid apprenticeship helps you learn skilled trades and progress into more advanced duties.

You will assist seasoned technicians on remodeling and renovation projects, handle tools, measure materials, and maintain a safe, efficient job site. No prior experience required, just a strong work ethic and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn and progress in skilled trades.
• Basic knowledge of common hand tools.
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
• Punctual and dependable; works well with others.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment and handle up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled technicians with remodeling and renovation projects.
• Load, unload, organize, and maintain tools and materials.
• Perform job-site cleanup before, during, and after projects.
• Assist with painting, flooring, cabinetry, trim, and custom renovation work.
• Measure and mark materials accurately.
• Retrieve and identify tools needed by technicians.
• Help keep projects moving efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Follow instructions and maintain a clean, safe job site.
• Learn new skills and gradually take on more responsibility.

This is a hands-on paid position for someone who wants to learn the trades and build a long-term career. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, take direction, work hard, and progress into more skilled responsibilities over time.

What We're Looking For:

• Willingness to learn and progress in the skilled trades
• Basic knowledge of common hand tools
• Ability to correctly identify and use basic tools
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Reliable transportation to and from job sites
• Punctual and dependable
• Hands‑on attitude — not afraid to get dirty or work hard
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Takes direction well and works as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and pride in your work
• Previous construction, remodeling, painting, flooring, or handyman experience is a plus, but not required
